Upgrades available for Sercon,Europa & PDZ IRMS :

Reference Gas Injection
Reference Gas Injection is an automated method of introducing reference gas directly to the ion source or into the carrier gas stream (optional). We offer stand-alone modules that can supply any number of reference gases to the IRMS. The benefits of adding Reference Gas Injection are

ease of source tuning,
shorter batch runs (no more need to use reference samples)
reduction of drift errors.

Each module will be individually designed for the customers system to ensure ease of use and interfacing. Please note that most customer’s hardware is already capable of driving the RGI module so no additional ‘Europa’ networking is required. Older systems such as the Tracermass may need a dedicated interface box and new software which can also be supplied by Sercon.

20-20 Mass Spectrometer Upgrades :

Varian 20-20 (Pumps Upgrade)
Replacement of the Varian vacuum system with the most up to date vacuum components from Edwards. A full re-wire, check and refurbishment of the 20-20 is included in the price plus upgrade of circuit boards to current specifications. Benefits are a quieter, cooler, more reliable vacuum system and the refurbishment brings a new ‘lease of life’ to the Mass Spectrometer.

Electronics Upgrade
This upgrade replaces all of the Europa / PDZ Europa electronics with a complete new suite of electronics. These are of a completely new design, incorporate the latest technology and have been designed with reliability as the primary objective. A new cabinet will be included in the price of this upgrade. The main benefit is the replacement of the ageing OEM electronics with more reliable, fully supported and warranted electronics.

Prep System Upgrades
ANCA SL / Roboprep Refurbishment the ANCA SL or Roboprep can be totally refurbished to new standard offering increased reliability and guaranteeing performance.

GSL Conversion the ANCA SL can be converted to a GSL i.e. Gas sampling

Tracermass Upgrades
The Tracermass is a good workhorse and has been used by many pioneers of Stable Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry. Many of these systems are showing signs of age and may soon be affected by components becoming obsolete. Sercon are pleased to offer a range of upgrades for these systems that will give them a new lease of life and ensure reliable, trouble free performance. In addition to adding the upgrade components we can totally overhaul the retained components so that the customer receives a warranted working system for a fraction of the price of a new system. Refurbished Systems
In addition to new systems, Sercon often have a range of pre owned, refurbished instruments for sale. All are totally re-manufactured back to new specification and offered with a 12-month warranty. More>>

Other Manufacturers Upgrades
